Piaa Bajpai is an Indian film actress and model, who has appeared in Tamil and Telugu films. Before appearing in films, she was a model for print ads, TV commercials and music videos. She has appeared in Cadbury commercials opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Sonata watches alongside Mahendra Singh Dhoni. She got her break in films with the comedy film, Poi Solla Porom, directed by A. L. Vijay. The film also featured Karthik Kumar and Nassar in pivotal roles. Upon release the film won critical acclaim and favourable reviews, with Piaa's performance labelled as bubbly and cheery. Her next film was the remake of the Hindi film Main Hoon Na in Tamil, Aegan. Directed by Raju Sundaram, the film also starred Ajith Kumar, Nayantara and Navdeep. In 2009, she appeared in a low-budget Telugu film, Ninnu Kalisaka and won positive acclaim for her performance. She earned her biggest break in Tamil films with Goa directed by Venkat Prabhu. Piaa won critical acclaim for her portrayal of the Goan girl Roshini with critics citing that she looked promising and endearing. Her next biggest hit was in K.V. Anand's political thriller Ko starring Jeeva, Karthika Nair and Ajmal
