Meera Jasmine Bio
Meera Jasmine is a National film award winning actress who has featured in several Indian regional films such as Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. She has starred in several commercially and critically acclaimed films in Malayalam and has been a two time recipient of Kerala state film awards, National film award for Best Actress and the Kalaimamani award by the Government of Tamilnadu. Meera made her Tamil film entry with Run, opposite Madhavan. She also featured in Bala (2002), the film was an average box office grosser. With the success of these two films, she won many accolades and got to work with some of the best actors in the Tamil Film Industry. She received the Filmfare Best Female debut actress award for Run. She also featured in Mani Ratnam's Aayudha Ezhuthu and SS Stanley in Mercury Pookkal. Meerah has appeared and acted in more than ten Tamil films. After Mani Ratnam's film, Meera has not managed to deliver any substantial hit in any Tamil film. She was awarded the Tamilnadu State film award in 2005 for her performance in the film Kasthuri Maan.
