Katrina Kaif, one of the highest paid and leading actress in Bollywood was a model before she entered the
mainstream Indian cinema. Katrina began modelling at the age of 14 and shot her first assignment for a
jewellery campaign. She made her debut in Kaizad Gustad's film Boom starring Amitabh Bachchan and
Gulshan Grover. The movie fared extremely poorly at the Box office. Following which, Katrina moved to
Mumbai and landed her first major role in Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya(2005) starring Salman Khan. In 2007, she
delivered back to back box office hits such as Namastey London, Apne, Race and Partner. She went on to
star in many films opposite Akshay Kumar and their biggest hit as a pair was Singh is Kingg(2008). She
received her first Filmfare award nomination in Best Actress category for the film New York. Other
exemplary roles include Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani(2009), Rajneeti(2010) and Zoya Akhtar's Zindegi
Milegi Na Dobara(2011).
