Anjali Bio
Anjali is a South Indian film actress and model, who mainly works in the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries. She is best known for her critically acclaimed role as Anandhi in her 2007 debut Tamil film Kattradhu Thamizh. Though the film proved to be unsuccessful at the box-office, Anjali was nominated for the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Actress in Tamil for that year. In her second film Aayudham Seivom opposite director-turned-actor Sundar C. Her performance was criticized and the film likewise didn't fare well at the box office. Her next film, Angaadi Theru directed by Vasanthabalan was highly appreciated and her performance won her the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress award. She has acted in Venkat Prabhu's recent film Mankatha (2011) starring Ajith Kumar. Her role in the film was not very significant and did not earn her many good reviews. 2011 also saw her star in Engeyum Eppodhum directed by A.R.Murugadoss. Anjali portrayed the role of a bold and dominating nurse with critics appreciating her intense performance.
